Dinosaur train!

Hey everyone,

It's been awhile.  If you haven't seen any pics of Henry elsewhere lately, you're going to be shocked at how much of a little boy he is now!  This hat I made because one of Henry's favourite shows (not that he watches many or has a choice really) is Dinosaur Train.  We watch Dinosaur train so often that the other day I was watching a show that referenced a pachycephalosaurus and I knew what it was (without having to look it up).  This hat is not a representation of a pachycephalosaurus though.  It's a sauropod for sure.  Now that you're all caught up on your dinosaur facts,  here is my (not so) little man, smiling as always:

And he actually let me take his picture:

Ok Ma, I take this off now, yes?

You wear it please!

Still my blue eyed baby:

You can only just see it in these pics, but his shirt is also rocking a dinosaur theme.  Coincidentally, I had already completed this hat when we saw this t-shirt at a store.  So naturally we had to buy it for the photo-op.

I'll try to be better about updating.  Until then!

Ka-Pow! Blam!

At long last, I have found some time to update everyone on Henry's Halloween.  Last halloween was the peter pan costume that kind of started all of this hat-making and blogging.  Since his costume was so cute last year, I figured you wouldn't let me get away with buying one for him this year, at least, not the whole costume.  This year, Henry went as - da nananananananana da nanananananana Batman!

Answering the bat signal:

Bat signal again?:

False alarm.  (Notice the batmobile in the background?  Thanks Aunty Katy and Brett)!

Now we'll take a short break from batman pictures.  Thumbs up for pumpkin carving (we're letting him start early so that he hopefully doesn't inherit his dad's bad luck with knives):

All finished!:

They turned out pretty good if I do say so myself.  The little Jack Skellington heads are candle holders that I got from a friend a long time ago:

Batman playing with his new fisherprice Kitchen:

Happy man!  (Thanks to GG for the smiling shot where he isn't trying to take off his hat):

That's all for this week.  Tune in next week, same bat time, same bat channel.

Bork Bork Bork!

Hey everyone!
Ok, we're back into high gear this week.  One of my husbands favourite Muppet characters is the Swedish Chef.  So in honour of Trevor's birthday and the Swedish Chef, please enjoy some pictures of Henry cooking up a storm:

Bork bork!

Silly man, you're not supposed to sit in the pot!  (This is the biggest pot I have in my kitchen, he barely fits in it).

Then you add some salt:

Stir it all together:

Then charm everyone with your big blue eyes and no one will notice how it tastes:

Enjoy the rest of the week!

Giddy-up!

Howdy everyone!

To start off this week, I'll show you a few pictures of a lovely gift Henry got from his Granny and Granddad when he was born:

Just a tease:

There it is! (most of it anyway):

Henry is still a little small to really get full enjoyment out of this beautiful rocking horse.  Or so I thought...the following picture suggests otherwise:

What is up with that smile little man?  Not the greatest picture of the hat, but hey, it's a great picture of his smile/teeth/tongue, so what can you do?

What's this?  Cowboy boots?:

Looking at daddy (better picture of his hat):

Little smiles (from a big man)!  He looks so big on the rocking horse:

Just chillin:

Initially I wanted to do this photoshoot on a real horse, but we couldn't get organized in time.  I think the rocking horse turned out to be a nice compromise.  I still can't believe how big he looks in these pictures!  For anyone not up to speed, Henry just turned 9 months last week.  He's growing up fast!

Hope you all had a great weekend, see you next week pard'ners!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mama's out there!  Enjoy Henry's ode to Mom hat (Thanks Rachel for the hat suggestion)!

Sitting outside:

Henry was a little cranky yesterday, not so many smiles, don't worry, mom will make up for it:

Baby blue eyes:

Mom tattoo (hat):

I hope all you mom's and soon to be moms, and someday moms and dads too have a wonderful day!

Let's go Blue Jays, let's go!

Happy Sunday everyone!  I hope you all have had an excellent weekend so far.  The weather could be a little nicer here, but April showers bring May flowers, right?  Speaking of flowers, it looks like we have some tulips blooming in our back garden, lovely.  I enjoy discovering what is planted in our gardens, since when we moved in, everything was brown.

As many of you know (and some of you probably do not) baseball season has begun.  Henry supports his dad's teams in all things (of course) so I made him an extra special hat this week.  Hopefully the Jays do better than the Leafs did this year.

Oh, hi mom, is it photoshoot time?

In case you are wondering, I get these patches on ebay.  All you have to do is search whatever patch you are looking for (for example "Toronto Blue Jays Patch" and then search through the zillions of hits you get for one that's the right size for any given project).  I couldn't get the newest Jays logo so Henry is wearing a retro one (the original logo if I'm not mistaken).  Luckily they've returned to their roots with the new logo, so Henry doesn't look too dated ;)

Posing with dad's baseball glove:
Henry is so excited about baseball season he is wearing his baseball suit (even though it's a little chilly for shorts, luckily we're inside today).

Big smiles for mommy:

I love that little hand waving when he's happy!  We're looking forward to Henry's first baseball game, hopefully some time this summer.  Of course there will be pictures when it happens.  Have a great week everyone!
